The late goal moves us out of the bottom three on goal difference.
It was one of them weird games when we scored the first goal I didn’t see it coming, don’t think anyone saw it coming. The goal was scored by Dame N’Doye low powerful shot that took a wicked defection to just go past their goalkeeper.
We looks fine after scoring that goal our nerves started to calm down and we started to attack. Jermain Defoe had the most shots at goal from a Sunderland player. All he could do was keep shooting in to their goalkeepers hands (Easy saves).
Crystal Palace after the break started to push on and finally got their goal after a powerful shot from Connor Wickham goes in after a little defection from one of our players.
Crystal Palace had us for pace and skill all over the park Yannick Bolasie was the main one with his pace and skill on the ball we couldn’t stop him.
Palace took the lead after Wickham scored a volley from a headed down ball in the box. Very simple goal but we didn’t deal with the corner and Wickham scored from it.
Vito Mannone was very stable in goal tonight even though he let two go past him he made a world class save within the first 15 minutes of the game. Unlike other games we decided to play out the ball from the back. Vito’s kicking up field has been s*it of late. He started a few counter attacks but they lead to nothing as the midfield kept the ball and didn’t want to play it out.
and finally the goal that came out of NOTHING! Mr Fabio Borini take a bow, this goal was scored in the 90th minute of the game and it was a world class finish he was only on for 10 minutes before scoring this goal.
Overall I thought that we should have won that game. We had to many chances in the first half and wasted them. I’m happy the N’Doye got his goal tonight might give a bit of a boost to him. Vito kinda to start to show his true strengths in goal tonight. Cattermole needs to be left out of a few games just to give him a rest he put’s his heart on his sleeve every game and give 100% but he need rest. Borini just start him that all I’m asking he has the pace and ability to score/set up goals!
